Ruta del Lechón

The stretch of route PR-184 through Guavate, in Cayey, where the island's best known roast pork restaurants sit one after another. It is about 45 minutes south of San Juan by highway and mountain road. On Sundays it fills with families, live music and slow traffic on the climb.

Example

On a Sunday along the Pork Highway you park wherever you can and walk up, because the last stretch moves at walking speed anyway.

What time should I arrive on a Sunday?
Before noon if you want to park close. After one the climb backs up and the whole road turns into a party.
