Arroz mamposteao

Day old white rice sautéed with stewed beans, sofrito and often bacon or ham. It started as a way to use leftovers and ended up a dish with its own name. It works as a side for meat and fish and is common in modern criollo restaurants.

Esempio

If you cannot decide between white rice and beans on the side, mamposteao gives you both in one plate and with more flavor.
