Cobertura móvil y roaming
For a United States line, Puerto Rico falls inside the domestic plan and most tariffs charge no roaming. For a European or Latin American line it counts as international roaming in the United States and is billed accordingly. Coverage is good along the coast and in cities, and drops out in mountain stretches and parts of the smaller islands.
Example
Downloading the offline map before heading into the mountains covers the stretch where the phone loses signal.

Frequently asked questions
Does my US plan work the same?
In most cases yes, since it counts as domestic use. Confirm with your carrier before traveling.
Is a local eSIM worth it?
