China (la naranja)
In Puerto Rico a sweet orange is called a china, and orange juice is jugo de china. The word comes from the historic trade in the fruit, labeled as the orange from China. It is the most entertaining confusion for a Spanish speaker reading a breakfast menu for the first time.
Exemple
Ask for orange juice and you will be understood, but the menu will say jugo de china.
