Histoire
Castillo San Cristóbal
The largest Spanish fortification built in the Americas, raised to defend San Juan by land while El Morro faced the sea. It covers several hectares in stepped levels with tunnels, sentry boxes and an outer defense system. It sits at the eastern edge of Old San Juan and shares its ticket with El Morro.
Exemple
If you only have time for one, El Morro has the views and San Cristóbal has the military engineering.
