Histoire
Murallas de San Juan
The sandstone defensive belt that ringed the old city, largely preserved on the seaward side. The red painted Puerta de San Juan is the historic gate still standing, and officials arriving by ship entered through it. The walkway that runs outside the wall at water level is one of the most pleasant strolls in the capital.
Exemple
The walk at the foot of the wall works best in late afternoon, once the sun stops hammering the stone.
