Guagua
The word for bus in Puerto Rican Spanish and much of the Caribbean. In metro San Juan the transit authority runs them on urban routes with uneven frequencies. For traveling between towns the bus is not the tool, and that job falls to públicos and rental cars.
Exemple
Saying autobús is understood, but here everyone says guagua, including the sign at the stop.
