Nature
Flamboyán
A broad crowned tree that fills with red or orange flowers through the summer months. It is not native, but it is the tree people associate with the island's roadside landscape. Its bloom is one of the few clear visual markers of season in the tropics.
Exemple
Travel between May and August and you will find whole roads lined with flame trees in bloom, which is the best window for road photos.
