Nature
El Yunque
The tropical rainforest in the island's northeast, managed by the federal Forest Service and the only tropical forest in the United States national forest system. It packs waterfalls, lookout towers and trails less than an hour from San Juan. Access to the main PR-191 corridor runs on timed reservations, so check availability before you drive out.
Exemple
It rains most days and that is not bad luck, it is the reason the forest exists. Bringing a rain shell is part of the plan.
